Our team and community began 2021 with hopeful hearts. Despite the ongoing global COVID19 pandemic, which continues to shine a harsh light on inequitable systems and shifting our realities, it calls on all of us to rise and press for change
2019 was a year of significant transition at Clean Start. We saw unprecedented growth in our team, fundraising efforts, beneficiary reach while bringing a standardized operational procedure to our social enterprise over the 12 months.
After a year that has brought the world to its knees, we are emboldened by the resilience of imprisoned, formerly imprisoned women and our team at Clean Start, rising, to achieve our objectives despite the changing circumstances.
This is a joint research initiative alongside Leitner Centre for International Law and Justice, Wakilisha, and Strathmore Law Clinic, about girls in the juvenile Justice System in Kenya
Working closely with the Kenya Prisons Service and Department of Children Service in partnership with the UNODC – Criminal Justice Programme and other partners. Clean Start has extensively invested in empowering and preparing women and girls for successful reintegration..
