As we come to the end of the first half of 2021, and usher in the second half with continued commitment to tackling the criminalization of the poor and most marginalized, we are reminded of how privileged we all are - to serve and transform the lives of our constituents

2019 was a year of significant transition at Clean Start. We saw unprecedented growth in our team, fundraising efforts, beneficiary reach while bringing a standardized operational procedure to our social enterprise over the 12 months.
After a year that has brought the world to its knees, we are emboldened by the resilience of imprisoned, formerly imprisoned women and our team at Clean Start, rising, to achieve our objectives despite the changing circumstances.
This is a joint research initiative alongside Leitner Centre for International Law and Justice, Wakilisha, and Strathmore Law Clinic, about girls in the juvenile Justice System in Kenya
Working closely with the Kenya Prisons Service and Department of Children Service in partnership with the UNODC – Criminal Justice Programme and other partners. Clean Start has extensively invested in empowering and preparing women and girls for successful reintegration..
